World Food Program Wins Nobel Peace Prize,

On 9 October, the United Nations Worldinfo-icon Food Program (WFP) was awarded the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts to combat hunger in war-torn countries. The award was given to WFP to recognize the organization`s efforts and also turn the world`s attention toward the people who are suffering from hunger and are in need of quick humanitarian supports.

World Food Program has responded to many natural disasters and conflicts including Afghanistaninfo-icon. Despite the difficulties and challenges caused by insecurity in the country, WFP has helped Afghans for many years by delivering food to areas where people suffer or threaten by hunger.

Etisalat Afghanistan would like to congratulate WFP for winning the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. We believe that WFP is one of the deserving organizations and this recognition further boosts the energy of the men and womeninfo-icon working tirelessly in WFP to tackle the challenges caused by hunger. We also believe that WFP will continue providing their generous supports to the people in need of food and improve conditions for peace in Afghanistan.
