3 youth killed as Pakistani rocket hits Kunar mosque

Sep 26, 2019 - 20:42

ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Three civilians were killed as Pakistani forces fired at least 180 rockets from across the border into eastern Kunar province, officials said on Thursday.

The Shaltan district administrative chief, Gul Khan, on Thursday told Pajhwok Afghan News that the Pakistani forces fired rockets into the district throughout last night.

He said three young men were killed when one of the rockets hit a mosqueinfo-icon near the Durand Lineinfo-icon. He said the rocket attack also caused financial losses to people.

Over the past few years, Pakistani forces have been periodically firing rockets and mortars into several districts of Kunar province. The strikes have caused casualties, financial losses and forced many families to leave their homes.
