Farmers’ Day celebration cancelled: MoAIL
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Agriculture
, Irrigation and Livestock (MoAIL) on Sunday announced cancelling Farmers’ Day celebration and others exhibitions across the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Health officials say five more positive cases of coronavirus have been registered in Afghanistan, taking the number of patents to 16.
Wahid Malyar, spokesman for the Public Health Ministry, told Pajhwok Afghan News four of the new cases had surfaced in Herat and one in Daikundi.
A statement from the MoAIL said based on MoPH guidelines, Formers’ Day celebration and others events had been scrapped across the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
A day earlier, government announced that all public and private educational institutes would remain closed until April 18 to contain the spread of the virus.
