More than 140 Afghans return home from India
KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 140 Afghan citizens stranded in the Indian state of Maharashtra have been flown home, says a media report.
At least 143 Afghans boarded a special flight of KAM Air at the Lohegaon airport on Sunday afternoon and left for Kabul, The Hindustan Times reported.
The plane had taken nine Indian citizens to their country, the newspaper reported, citing a senior airport official.
The Lohegaon district administration said none of the outgoing passengers showed symptoms of COVID-19.
"The nine Indians, who arrived on the special flight, were quarantined after being screened at the airport," an unnamed official was quoted as saying.
