KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Talibaninfo-icon on Tuesday denied a statement regarding India attributed to the movement, saying they would never interfere in internal affairs of others.

Reuters reported the statement, saying escalation of tensions between India and Pakistaninfo-icon would negatively impact the Afghan peace process.

The report quoted a Taliban spokesman as saying that continuing tensions between the two countries would affect the situation in the region and India would pay a huge cost.

But Suhail Shaheen, Taliban’s political office spokesman in Doha, denied the statement on the India-Pakistan tension, saying the movement had nothing to do with it.

He wrote on his Twitter account: “The statement reported by some media outlets was not issued by the Islamic Emirate, whose policy is based on non-interfere in internal affairs of other countries.
