Coronavirus rehab centre opens in Kabul hospital

KABUL (Pajhwok): A coronavirus treatment centre to treat gynecological patients suffering from the virus has been opened in the Rabia Balkhi Hospital, an official said on Wednesday.

Acting Health Minister Ahmad Jawad Usmani, who inaugurated the facility, said the rehabilitation centre was opened to treat pregnant women infected with the virus.

He said the 20-bedded facility was equipped with all modern medical equipment. For better treatment of coronavirus patients, an online group has been set up, in which a number of specialists share their experiences with other doctors working in remote provinces.

He said 500 ventilators had been purchased from Germany and were being distributed to different provinces based on requirement.
