1 tests positive, 1 dies from Covid-19 in 24 hrs

KABUL (Pajhwok): One person was tested positive for coronavirus and one patient died from the disease in the last 24 hours in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Public Health said Sunday.

The single case was detected in northeastern Badakhshan province, taking the nation’s tally to 36, 711, the ministry said in a statement.

So far 25,509 people had recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic and 1,284 people had died from the infection across Afghanistan.

The Public Health Ministry says people should observe precautions particularly during Eid holidays.
