43 new positive Covid-19 cases recorded in past 24 hours

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday said 43 new positive coronavirus cases were registered in the country during the past 24 hours, pushing the nation’s tally to 37,719.

In a statement, the ministry said 384 suspected patients underwent tests in the country’s labs, with 43 people testing positive for the disease during the period.

Of the new cases, 29 surfaced in Herat, 12 in Kabul and one each in Balkh and Badakhshan provinces, the Public Health Ministry said, adding that four people died and as many recovered from the infection during the last 24 hours.

So far 1381 people had died from the disease.
