Children among 10 injured in Kabul rocket strike
KABUL (Pajhwok): More than a dozen rockets were fired into various parts of Kabul city on Tuesday, leaving 10 people injured including a woman and children, the Ministry of Interior said.
MoI spokesman Tariq Aryan said 14 rockets were fired before noon in Kabul’s first, second, ninth, 10th and 16th security districts. He said the injured included four children and one woman.
Aryan said two suspects had been arrested in connection with the attack in the 17th police district of Kabul.
Eyewitnesses said the rockets landed in Macro Rayan residential area, Shash Darak, Sarai Shomali, Wazir Akbar Khan diplomatic area and near the Presidential Palace.
They said at least 10 people were injured in the attack.
No group has so far claimed responsibility the rocket attack that came as the Afghans celebrated the country’s 101st independence day.
