Army helicopter crashes in Takhar province

TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Afghan National Army (ANA) helicopter crashed on Tuesday in the Rastaq district of northern Takhar province, according to security sources.

A well placed security source told Pajhwok Afghan News an ANA helicopter crashed this afternoon in the Rastaq district due to technical failure.

“The copter arrived in the area to evacuate bodies of security personnel. First it incurred technical fault and then crashed,” the source said.

Defence ministry has not yet commented about the incident.
