3 people killed in Kandahar armed attack

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Three people were killed in a targeted attack in Kandahar City, the capital of southern Kandahar province, on Sunday, an official said.

The incident happened in the limits of second Municipality District in the morning time.

A well-placed security source told Pajhwok Afghan News motorcyclists opened firing on three people in front of Popal Market and killed them on the spot.

The slain people worked in the Mullah Sahib Market, according to the source.

Earlier a contract of the same market was killed in a separate targeted attack.

Targeted killing has become a common practice in the province sometimes it increases and sometime it declines.
