DOHA (Pajhwok): The agenda has been firmed up for the intra-Afghan peace dialogue in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The negotiations will get under way at Sheraton Hotel in Doha, where the peace pact between the United States and the Talibaninfo-icon was signed on February 29 this year.

The agenda, obtained by Pajhwok Afghan News, reads the entry of guests will start at 8:30am local time and the launching ceremony will start with recitation from the Holy Quraninfo-icon at 9:00am.

 The deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, will deliver the opening remarks,

His speech will be followed by High National Reconciliation Council (HNRC) Chairman Dr. Abdullah.

Mullahinfo-icon Abdul Ghani Baradar, head of Taliban’s political office and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will also address the historic event.

Heads of the United Nations, NATOinfo-icon, European Union and Islamic Cooperation Organization will also deliver speeches through video links.

At 12:00, an official of the Qatar government would address the attendees and the ceremony would end with a lunch break.
