17 new Covid-19 cases reported in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Thursday said 17 new Covid-19 cases had been registered in the last past 24 hours in different parts of the country.

In a statement, the ministry said 375 individuals underwent tests and 17 of them were diagnosed with the virus during the period, taking the national’s overall tally to 39,285.

At least nine cases were reported in Kabul, six in Balkh and one each in Baghlan and Parwan.

No one died from the disease during the past 24 hours and the number of deaths thus remained at 1,458. So far, 32,842 people have recovered from the pandemic.
