Parwan gathering condemns French president blasphemous remarks
KABUL (Pajhwok): Participants of Eid Melad-un-Nabi gathering in central Parwan on Friday condemned the recent insulting remarks of the French President and termed the silence of the majority of the Islamic world
in the face of these remarks regrettable.
Deputy Governor Shah Walliullah Shahid termed the remarks of French president irresponsible and clearly blasphemous.
He also regretted the silence of the Islamic World over sensitive issue and said: “We hope that the leaders of Islamic world and ulema shall stand against insulting remarks and show their reaction,” he said.
Mohammad Javid Hanafi, head of the Parwan Ulema Council, asked the resident of Parwan to stage rallies and gatherings for the condemnation of insulting remarks by French president against the holy prophet.
“It will be a huge sin if Muslim and Islamic countries stay silent against French president blasphemous remarks,” he said.
