Ex-TV presenter, DAB officials killed in Kabul blast

KABUL (Pajhwok): Former TOLOnews presenter Yama Siawash and two other individuals were killed as a magnetic bomb hit their vehicle in Kabul on Saturday morning.

Officials said the three victims of the explosion were employees of Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), the country’s central bank.

Baktash Siawash, a former member of the Wolesi Jirga, confirmed the death of his brother Yama Siawash in the bombing.

In a statement, DAB said its vehicle was struck by the explosive device and three of the central bank’s employees were killed in the incident.

“The martyrs are Yama Siawash, advisor on public relations, Ahmadullah Anas, deputy chief of staff and protocol, and Aminullah Rezaee, the driver,” the statement added.

DAB extended its condolences to the families and relatives of the victims and vehemently condemned the attack.
