PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): One security official has been killed and seven others have been wounded in an attack and a blast in central Logar province.

A government official, who declined to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants attacked the security forces, using a drone camera.

He said two security personnel were injured in the attack. They were evacuated to hospital by their colleagues.

On their way back from hospital, the security personnel were struck by a roadside bomb planted by the rebels, the official. One security official was killed and five others were wounded.

Deedar Lawang, the governor’s spokesman, said one National Directorate of Security (NDSinfo-icon) officer was killed and four others, including three policemen, were wounded in the blast in Barak-i-Barak district.

Lawang, however, denied the rebel attack involving a drone camera. He confirmed the landmine blast.
