KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): More than 130 civilians have been killed and 289 others injured in Talibaninfo-icon attacks in the past 25 days, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Sunday.

The Taliban carried out more than 200 bomb blasts and 15 suicide attacks in different parts of the country during the period, Tariq Aryan, spokesperson for the MoI, told reporters here.

He added besides civilians, security personnel also suffered casualties in these attacks.

Aryan said hundreds of Taliban were also killed and injured in security forces operations recently.

The Taliban have not yet spoken about the MoI claims, but in the past the group had rejected government’s claims about casualties among civilians.
